How overseas-based youth players can prepare objective video evidence to match JFA scouting criteria and positional standards.

The Japan Football Association, in partnership with SCO Group, launched the JFA × SCO GROUP 'FUTURE CAMP inspired by BLUE LOCK' to identify overseas-based talent of Japanese heritage. The inaugural camp runs August 3–6, 2026, in Irvine, California, for approximately 25 selected U-16 players evaluated by 10 JFA coaches alongside five dispatched U-15 Japan national team candidates. Selection relies on a formal application involving document verification of league context and a comprehensive video review of technical ability, decision-making, and individual tactics.
